Motorola VT1000 Light Statuses
| Power light is: | What it means: |
|---|---|
| Flashing once, on and off. | The voice terminal is attempting a self test. If this pattern stays indefinitely the voice terminal is defective. |
| Fashes twice | 1. The voice terminal is attempting to obtain an IP address 2. If this pattern repeats indefinitely attempt to correctly connect the voice terminal to the cable modem. From the cable modem via Ethernet cable into the WAN port on the back of the voice terminal. 3. After verifying the connection reboot the cable modem and wait for the status lights to show a complete connection. Then reboot the Voice Terminal. 4. If the above fails to return connectivity attempt to connect the cable modem directly to a PC, reboot the modem, and verify that it can get an IP from the modem. |
| Flashes 3 times | 1. At this stage the Voice Terminal is attempting to connect to the voip server in it’s configuration 2. If this light pattern stays indefinitely it usually means it needs to be reconfigured. Have the customer download the ATA config tool from the MyAccount website. Using the Web interface at 192.168.102.1 go to the service tab and click on “Restore Factory Defaults” 3. After the Voice Terminal has been Restored to Factory Defaults use the ATA Config Tool to reconfigure it |
| Flahes 4 times | 1. At this point the Voice Terminal is attempting to download its profile from our voip server. If this pattern repeats indefinitely register the customers MAC ID on the MyAccount website and reboot. This should allow the Voice Terminal to obtain it’s configuration file from the server |
